“Concern for man and his fate must always form the
chief interest of all technical endeavors … never forget this in the midst of
your diagrams and equations”.
To skim through these quotes daily, said by one of the greatest minds ever, made my mind incline towards a goal that thrives in achieving perfection in whatever field I choose.

The “Information
Revolution” and the dramatic advances in telecommunications technology, which
has made this possible, currently drive the global economy in large part. As
wireless networks become more advanced and far-reaching, we are redefining the
notion of connectivity and the possibilities of communications
technology. This is what inspired my interest in Telecommunication
and Networking and motivated me to take up Electronics and Communication for my
Bachelor’s Degree in
order to develop basic theoretical, career-oriented understanding of Telecommunications.
After graduating high school ,I got admitted in an
institution which was well renowned for its academic excellence and stood first
among all other colleges in my state within the first year of its inception. I
enrolled at _____College of Engineering and
Technology, affiliated to ______, becoming an active member and constantly updating myself and keeping
at par with the competitive world.
During the course of my undergraduate study I was exposed to various courses with applications like Electromagnetic field, Linear Integrated Circuits, Electronics Circuits, Pulse and digital circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Micro processors & Micro Controllers, Optical Communication, Data Communication Networks, Wireless & Mobile Communication, Satellite Communication, Electronic Switching etc. which formed the base for my well sculpted Undergraduate. Out of the box thinking was always one of my strongest qualities, which enabled me to learn lots of new topics progressively. Without being content of what was being taught in college I always ventured into the open to learn about the innovative inventions we encounter in our everyday life.

I attempted 2 projects in the final year in the area
of communication, which are “Voice/data communication system using laser beam”
and “ Motion sensor based security system” – both of which were highly
successful. My inclination towards communications and signal processing turned
into a deep-rooted interest mainly after I came across the courses - Analog communications,
and Principles of Communication and Communication systems in my junior year. Through
these courses, I learnt about the mathematical power of "Transforms",
about the kinds of "Modulations" and the reasons for their use, about
“Quantization" and its applications in telephone networks, about frame
synchronization etc.
I was involved in other extra curricular activities
such as Robotics Workshop . Was involved in Robotics
Workshop by Robosapiens India as a Event Coordinator in Zonal round of
ROBOTYST’S 2010) . Secured consolation prize for in Creativity and Poster
making Competition at national level. An Inter Collegiate”AD MAD SHOW” Secured 1st
minutes Film/video making Competition at S.D. College of Management Studies,
India. I won accolades at Technological Working Model in International
Conference on “Recent Trends in Management, Technology &Environment” at ____. I had created a model named
“Reflica” depicting an Eco – Friendly society.
As I have developed deeper into my subjects, I became aware of the
importance of practical experience. After great scrutiny of, my academic
credentials and aptitude, I was accepted as an Intern at _________, Company. Here I was the part of the
offshore communication section where they taught us how to communicate with the
oil field. I interacted with the engineers from the Network department of the
company. This inspired me to do a project on Antenna System & Network
Design”. The project aimed to learn the working of the Antenna System in the
different areas of oil sectors in the field and how their Network is linked
with Satellite and with Antenna Links. The training was focused on the Antenna
Systems & Network Design. Later on I was placed at _____ as a Field Engineer in Construction Field, worked
on installation of Optical Fiber Cables, its Project Planning, Execution of the
work and other construction work – this gave me a lot of real time experience. Meanwhile
I attempted GRE and IELTS to further give validity to my ambition. My scores
are – ___________
As we march into the next millennium of Science and Technology, we face
the intriguing problem of colossal demand for high speed Communication and
Networking systems. My final objective is to secure a challenging position in
an organization actively involved in research and development of high
performance signal processing and networking systems which would cater to he
needs of tomorrow. I firmly believe that pursuing graduate studies at your
esteemed University will help me fulfill my ambition to be able to make
significant contribution to advancement in the field of Science and Technology
someday. I have gone through
your website and online student forums and I have learned about the
collaborative environment at the University and realize that I have an
opportunity where I can interact with talented students, teachers and industry
professionals. I believe that I will be able to contribute to and learn from
the academically challenging environment at the University. I am hoping to hear
a positive reply from you.
